CT Registry Review: Pathology and Anatomy

In this final presentation, common pathologic conditions seen when performing computed tomography will be reviewed. Also presented are descriptions of each disease, their various symptoms, treatments and prognoses, and imaging characteristics. Pathology appearance on CT images as well as changes in the appearance when contrast media is introduced will be shown.

Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
  1. For the Head and Neck - describe the symptoms, treatment, and prognosis; identify the CT image appearance - both with and without contrast media; and correctly identify basic anatomy from cross-sectional CT slices for selected diseases.
  2. For the Chest and Mediastinum - describe the symptoms, treatment, and prognosis; identify the CT image appearance - both with and without contrast media; and correctly identify basic anatomy from cross-sectional CT slices for selected diseases.
  3. For the Abdomen and Pelvis - describe the symptoms, treatment, and prognosis; identify the CT image appearance - both with and without contrast media; and correctly identify basic anatomy from cross-sectional CT slices for selected diseases.
  4. For the Musculoskeletal System - describe the symptoms, treatment, and prognosis; identify the CT image

Qualified Planners/Faculty

Leanna Neubrander, M.H.Sc, RT(R)(CT)

Leanna Neubrander is the Director of Online Strategic Development and Engagement for AdventHealth University and has been a faculty member at AdventHealth University (AHU) since 2006.  Ms. Neubrander was the Associate Professor of Imaging Sciences and lead instructor for the CT courses in the B.S. Radiologic Sciences Program.  Ms. Neubrander graduated with her A.S. degree in Radiography and B.S. degree in Radiologic Sciences from AHU and obtained her master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in Health Sciences with a concentration in Higher Education. She is certified and proficient in Radiography and Computed Tomography (CT), and is trained in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).  Ms. Neubrander serves as the Educator on the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) CT Exam Committee.
