Elizabeth Clark, PT, DPT, EdD, NCS, RYT 200
Dr. Clark is an Associate Professor in Physical Therapy at AdventHealth University. Dr. Clark has a bachelor’s degree in biology from State University of New York (SUNY): Geneseo, a masters and doctoral degree in physical therapy from Upstate Medical University, and an EdD in executive leadership from St. John Fisher College. She has been board certified in neurologic physical therapy since 2008, and her primary areas of interest in clinical practice, teaching, and research include both neurologic physical therapy as well as leadership training and practices in health care. Dr. Clark has previously provided pro-bono physical therapy services and education locally and internationally in the area of neurology. Dr. Clark has published manuscripts in the areas of leadership, international service learning, and multiple research poster presentations in the area of neurologic physical therapy.

Milly Rodriguez, OTR/L
Ms. Rodrigues is currently a Clinical Instructor/Occupational Therapist at AdventHealth University and the Director of the Hope Clinic. Ms. Rodriguez has over 40 years of experience in clinical and educational settings. She began her career with AdventHealth University in 2015 as the primary clinician and instructor at the Hope Clinic, a no cost outpatient teaching clinic providing occupational therapy services to underserved patients in our community.
Milly has practiced in a variety of clinical settings including mental health, pediatrics, inpatient and outpatient rehab, acute care, home health, skilled nursing facility, and lymphedema management. Her passion is to assist patients and caregivers to improve their quality of life and guiding young professionals on the practice and mission of occupational therapy.
She graduated from University of Puerto Rico in 1981 with degree in Science/Occupational therapy. Additional specialty certifications on neurodevelopmental treatment for the treatment of adults and children, lymphedema management certification, sensory integration treatment, LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s Disease, TOPSEI Certification (Training for Occupational and Physical Therapists in Early Intervention, Myofascial Release, Fieldwork Education, Modalities Certification, and Kinesiology Tape for Special Populations.

Marika Whitaker, DNP, MHA, RN
Marika Whitaker has been nursing faculty in the Department of Nursing at Adventist University of Health Sciences now AdventHealth University since 2009. Ms. Whitaker became a nurse in 2001, graduating from Seminole Community College with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). Marika’s specialty is emergency medicine with 18 years of experience. In 2008 Marika obtained a Bachelor in the Science of Nursing (BSN), and in 2010 received a Master in the Science of Nursing (MSN) and a Master in Healthcare Administration (MHA) from the University of Phoenix. In 2010, Marika became nursing faculty at AdventHealth University. Marika has remained nursing faculty teaching various nursing courses: Adult Health 1, Pharmacology, Informatics, and Foundations of Nursing. In 2021, Marika completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with her scholarly project focusing on healthcare organization system changes to increase cardiac rehabilitation enrollment in the acute care setting.
