Frequently Answered Questions

Accreditation

Our courses are updated every two years, which traditionally is the length of an accreditation cycle. In the event there is a change in standards or practice, or procedural guidelines, our courses are reviewed, updated, and published with the new information.

A list of our accreditors can be found on the bottom of our homepage. You can click an accreditor logo to go to their website. Individual course accreditor information can be found on the Online Courses page under the course description. Accreditation specifics, such as the accrediting body, number of CEUs, and category for each course can be found in the course detail by clicking on the Accreditors tab.

A RCEEM, or Recognized Continuing Education Evaluation Mechanism, is a mechanism for evaluating the content, quality and integrity of an educational activity. A RCEEM as an organization must be national in scope, non-profit, radiology based, and willing to evaluate the CE activity developed by any technologist within a given discipline. Current organizations with RCEEM status include ACR, AHRA, ASRT, CAMRT, SDMS, SNMTS, and SVU.

If you have verified that your license number was correctly set up in your membership profile, you are able to print the Certificate of Completion, and other courses have posted to your CE Broker account, then please contact our Accreditation department for further investigation.

Even though the course you took is an echelon course, other continuing healthcare providers also offer and host our courses. Since we do not have direct access to their data you will need to contact Healthstream directly at 615-301-3289.

That is correct. When a course has expired, it no longer has valid accreditation and access to the course is closed. Our suggestion is to contact the individual(s) who issued you the voucher to request a new voucher.

ARRT requires Category A Credits, and Category A Credits are only issued by RCEEMs. If the accrediting body is ACR, AHRA, ASRT, CAMRT, SDMS, SNMTS, and SVU, they are recognized by ARRT and will be accepted.

None, as the Licensing Department at Tallahassee would request that you scan and email or fax documentation of verification of course completion to them directly. Verbal credit is never acknowledged or granted.

If the course was taken on our website, you would contact our Accreditation department. If you took one of our courses through another hospital or provider’s LMS, you would contact them for assistance.

Courses - General

After you have purchased the course or redeemed a voucher for it, you will find the course listed on your "My echelon" page. Simply click the “Launch” button next to the course to open it.

Yes! Many of the courses listed in our course catalog feature a demo video. From the course catalog click on the course title that you are interested in. Then just click on the Demo tab and you will be able to view an excerpt. If there is no Demo tab, then a demo for that course is not available.

If you have not completed the course, you may request a refund by contacting us.

If the system is showing that you have not completed the post test, you may have forgotten to click the submit button or you may have accidentally clicked the reset button. You will need to complete the post test again until its folder is checked off in the course navigation.

At the beginning of each course, the requirements for successful completion and the generation of the certificate of completion are posted. More often than not, one of the following key elements were not completed. We suggest you go back into the course and verify that you completed the following 4 elements:1) View each topic within the course, 2) Participate in each activity, 3) Achieve a passing score, 4) Complete the course evaluation. If you still are unable to print your certificate, please feel free to contact us and we will gladly assist you.

Our courses record your progress and allow you to pick up where you left off (one exception being post tests, which generally must be completed in one sitting). You can progress at your own pace without the fear of a course locking you out. Even after completing a course, you have access to the course until the expiration date (which is posted in your Course History).

When the tool bar starts flashing yellow, it is notifying the participant that additional resources are available for that topic that you are viewing. Click on the More Information tab and it will list the additional information available.

The course reference number is unique to each accrediting body. The lower portion of your certificate lists the accreditors and just below the accreditors name is a reference number and number of CEUs for the course. If a reference number for some reason is not listed, please contact our Accreditation department.

No. The information on the certificate is automatically generated after the key elements for course credit have been completed and cannot be changed in any way.

Vouchers

Click the Vouchers link on our website and enter your voucher code there. Please be aware that voucher codes are case sensitive.

Some voucher codes do have an expiration date, so it is best to redeem it as soon as possible.

No. You only have to enter the voucher code once in order to add the course to your account. After that, all you need to do to access the course is log in and click on the My Courses tab. Your course will be listed there.

A couple of things to keep in mind about vouchers:
  • Voucher codes are case-sensitive, so make sure you enter your voucher code EXACTLY as it was given to you. (For example, "A" is not the same as "a".)
  • A voucher code that has already been redeemed cannot be redeemed again. To access courses from a voucher you previously redeemed, log into your account and go to the My Courses section.
