Edwin Alicea, MDiv.

Edwin is currently the director of the Pastoral Care Department for AdventHealth, Orlando Campus. Previously, for 20 years, he served as a church pastor in Puerto Rico. He has been a hospital chaplain for the last twelve years. He has had the privilege to teach as an adjunct professor for AdventHealth University, where he also served on the Institutional Review Board from 2017 to 2020. Edwin is also part of the Biomedical Ethics Committee at AdventHealth Orlando.

Waleska Alvarado Alvarado, M.Div

Waleska Alvarado is a native of Puerto Rico and ordained minister in the Christian Church/Disciples of Christ. She is an M.Div. graduate of Asbury Theological Seminary and earned a BS in Medical Technology from Inter-American University of Puerto Rico. Her early career as a Medical Technologist Supervisor at the Blood Bank in various locations first exposed her to the clinical setting. In her ministry since, she has served as a Church Planter, Senior Pastor and Administrator of Women’s Ministries. Before joining AdventHealth, she served as an ACPE Certified Educator at Tampa General Hospital, where she began her chaplaincy in 2013. There she also specialized in Trauma Care, Pediatric Trauma, Labor and Delivery, and Neonatal ICU. Additionally, she served as a member of the Ethics committee and on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee.

Alongside her service as an Educator, she also served in the US Navy Reserve Chaplain Corps (now retired).

Mian R. Hill, M.Div, BCC

Chaplain Mian R. Hill is the Director of Mission and Ministry, AdventHealth Gordon and Murray in Calhoun, GA.  He has over 20 years of ministerial leadership experience in both the church and hospital setting. Successfully active in physician education, the reduction of readmissions to the hospital, Schwartz Center Rounds facilitation, ethics consultation and advance care planning education.

Tina Morgan,

Tina Morgan is the Circuit 9 Community Development Administrator for the Department of Children and Families. Tina has been with the Department for over 23 years serving in various roles such as Child Protective Investigator, Child Protective Program Office, Adult Protective Services Supervisor, and more. She is passionate about protecting Florida’s children and prevention abuse and neglect. Tina has created and presented presentations at the local, state and national level on topics such as Service Navigation, Mandatory Reporting, Child Abuse and Neglect/Adult Abuse and Neglect, and Water Safety. Tina has also been instrumental in developing a leadership academy for Central Region employees.
