This course will give you the foundational knowledge on critical change and crisis events as well as understanding the basics attitudes and skills in supporting others. We will also cover how to engage active listening as a helping intervention for people in distress. The ABC Model of Crisis Intervention will be explained and how to integrate into practice - recognizing scope of care and when to refer.

Christian Taylor presently serves AdventHealth Corporate Services as Director of Mission & Ministry. In this role, he helps leaders and team members integrate organizational values and mission into everything they do, and to develop strategies to influence a mission-centered culture. Previously, at AdventHealth Orlando, he was the oncology chaplain and later served as chaplain manager of the Pastoral Care Department.
