As a Seventh-day Adventist Institution, The University's mission stresses respect for our bodies, minds, and spirits as wonders of God's creation. Sexual misconduct is an affront to the dignity of the human person and inconsistent with principles of Christian professionalism that the University fosters. Sexual misconduct has no place in the University community, and violating the University's prohibition on sexual misconduct has serious consequences, up to and including, expulsion.

The Adventist University of Health Sciences along with Husch Blackwell LLP have joined together in presenting this program as an awareness to students, faculty, and staff about sexual misconduct. Our goal is to keep our campus a safe place without the threat or fear of sexual misconduct. This training will provide you with information about identifying sexual misconduct, policies the University has implemented to prevent sexual misconduct, things you can do to keep you and your friends safe, and resources that are available.

NOTE: This is a requirement for all new CPE Students serving within the Florida Hospital Central Region.

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Build a general awareness of sexual misconduct and define sexual harassment.
2. Identify sexual harassment.
3. Discuss un-welcomed behavior from others.
4. Identify if one's conduct may be harassing.
5. Discuss and identify various types of hostile environments.
6. Define sexual violence/assault and valid consent.
7. Understand the implications alcohol and drug use have on consent.
8. Understand an individuals obligation to friends, family, and strangers when it comes to sexual conduct, sexual harassment, and domestic violence.
9. Comprehend various methods and places to report sexual misconduct.

Completion Requirements: To receive continuing pastoral education credit commensurate with the credit awarded for this on-line activity, the participant must:

• View all modules
• Participate and pass all learning checks/quizzes
• Pass the Post Test(s)
• Complete and submit the on-line evaluation

Certificates of Completion: Will be available to print immediately upon finishing the completion requirements. You are encouraged to print and save your certificate for your portfolio as required by your licensing body. Interdisciplinary accredited activities, activities having multiple accreditors, will be listed individually on the Certificate of Completion.
