This course is an introduction for clergy/chaplains to the history and major resources of bioethical decision-making, including some standing bioethical debates as they relate to health care. This course will also address some of the historical and modern-day codes and theories of medical ethics. This course will challenge your thinking regarding what is a “good” or “bad” ethical approach.

Andy Lampkin, Ph.D., is Professor of Religion at AdventHealth University where he teaches bioethics and Christian social ethics. He is a Seventh-day Adventist Minister with more than two decades of professional ministerial experience. He holds an undergraduate degree from Oakwood University, a Divinity degree, and a Doctor Philosophy in Religion, Ethics and Society from Vanderbilt University.
