Student-Active Teaching Strategies: a Faculty Focus Minute Polycom Teaching as a Catalyst for Collaborative Teaching Practice

This course will present Student-Active Teaching Strategies through the development of a Faculty Focus Minute.

Participating in Polycom education at AHU offers faculty the unique opportunity to develop practices and tools that facilitate collaborative, active learning environments in any classroom. In this workshop, Katie, Stefanie, and six students (three from Denver and three from Orlando) will lead attendees in a conversation about best practices in the Polycom environment that are transferable to any learning context: collaborative technology, collaborative teaching, and teacher presence.

Attendees will

  • describe collaborative teaching practices employed in broadcast classrooms
  • create applications for collaborative teaching in their own classrooms
