Moral Courage: Carl Wilkens
Hours: 1.00

In a powerful story of love and courage in the midst of terrible violence, Carl Wilkens and his wife Teresa bear witness to the history of genocide in Rwanda in the early 1990s. Wilkens weaves footage from a documentary of their experience with his account of the family’s development and relief work in Rwanda prior to the genocide, and relief work after. Wilkens was the sole American who remained in the country during the violence.
