Portable Compressed Gas Tank Safety

This course offers an overview of essential compressed gas safety practices from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines. The course aims to provide a brief introduction to the hazards of compressed gases and key safety measures. Compressed gas or oxygen tanks can appear anywhere on an AdventHealth campus. This is why it’s important for EVERY employee to have a basic understand of the importance of handling compressed gas tanks safely.

This training is designated Mandatory, as defined in policy CW HR 284 -Annual Training. Completion is therefore required by the established due date, with non-compliance subject to corrective action.

Upon completion of this course, the learner will:

  1. Identify compressed gas tanks.
  2. Recall how to safely store and transport compressed gas tanks.
  3. Describe the importance of safe storage and transport of compressed gasses to adhere to the "Keep Me Safe" standard.

Completion Certificates: Will be available to print immediately upon successful completion of this online course. It also will be stored electronically in your profile under your course history.

Electronic Record Retention: All activity records are kept on file for a minimum of six (6) years.
