Discover a one-week immersive experience introduction to Chaplaincy Ministry at AdventHealth, for college students, who are seriously discerning a call to the ministry of spiritual care in healthcare.

Experience this one-week journey will include an opportunity to shadow chaplains in a variety of professional workplace ministry encounters, as well as conceptual information about the dynamics of ministry in healthcare. You will also be introduced to Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) and "action-reflection-action" model of pastoral identity development.

Share as a pastor in specialized setting, the Chaplain has the opportunity to provide spiritual care at some of the most significant time in life, at some of life's most joyous and heartbreaking events, and in the day-to-day work of healthcare providers. This week will introduce you to the ministry and the foundational understandings of this ministry in a small group, dynamic setting.

Hotel accommodations are across the street from AdventHealth Orlando's main campus, at Comfort Suites Downtown Orlando. The hotel will provide shared rooms (2 per room), and breakfast each morning. The cost of the hotel is included in your registration fee; checkin Sunday - checkout Friday. Participants will need to provide transportation to and from Orlando, as well as local transportation for movement between campuses during the course of the event and for any after hours exploration of the city and the area.
