Since 1948 we have understood more about the relationship between physical, mental, and social well-being and one's spirituality. This moves us from an understanding of wellness to an understanding of wholeness. Wholeness includes wellness, but also a sense of connection to the whole of life - to other people to one's self and new ideas, and to the world around us. In this faith-based healthcare organization it is from the roots of faith that we understand spiritual wholeness, and the role of faith in our connection to creation. From that understanding - have identified key indicators of wholeness.

Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. identify the Key Spiritual Indicators, their clinical implications and connection to spiritual suppot.
  2. Identify emotional and behavioral indicators of wholeness and of need.
  3. Help spiritual support persons begin to reflect on their own and others spiritual wholeness.
  4. consider ways to affirm wholeness and support need based ont eh understanding of these Key Spiritual Indicators.

Ramona Reynolds, M.Div., MHA, BCC, ACPE Certified Educator

Ramona Reynolds serves as Executive Director of Ministry Education and Research for AdventHealth Central Division and The Ministry Education and Research at AdventHealth University. She is a Board Certified Chaplain with the Association of Professional Chaplains, an ACPE Certified Educator and an ordained minister in the Baptist tradition. Her Master of Divinity degree was completed at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, KY, and her Master of Healthcare Administration was completed at AdventHealth University in Orlando, FL.
