CMI-05: Assessing Your Cultural and Spiritual Heritage

Price: $50.00 CE: 1.00

This module will be different from others we have shared thus far. This module will invite you to personal reflection, that you will bring to your next group session. In this module – you are the content, as you are invited to begin to do some assessment on your life tapestry, your personal cultural and spiritual heritage. Every part of us is influenced by events, relationships and the role of faith and how we make meaning of our lives today. For this course, find a place where you can spend some time in reflection and writing your thoughts. We provide the questions to prompt your reflections. Be willing to go where the reflection or the question takes you. This is your story…there are not “right” answers - consider how the event, relationship or role of faith in your life, influences your current cultural understandings about yourself and others, your practices of faith, your personal spirituality and what gives your life meaning.

Upon successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  1. Reflect on how their experiences, relationships, culture and faith impact their story of self.
  2. Share their reflections with peers in small group conversation and learn how experiences, relationships, culture and faith impact other's stories.
