Failure to repay students loans comes with heightened risks for recent nursing school graduates. Particularly, nurses could have their licenses suspended. As a result, experts recommend being diligent about changing information that could affect how a student loan is paid. Any state board of nursing and loan companies should be notified if there is a change of address, debt card number, or last name after marriage. Failure to do so could result in ongoing problems for nurses, especially if state officials do not allow expungement of disciplinary records by a state board of nursing.
