Course Description: |

This course is designed for experienced nurses who are interested in developing and enhancing their preceptor skills—the ability to guide nurses with varying levels of experience and knowledge through a process of learning in the clinical environment.
It describes the importance and complexity of the preceptor’s role; presents guidelines for successful preceptor/preceptee communication; and explains principles of conflict management, adult learning, and evaluation, including competency verification and reality shock. |

Communication and Preceptor Roles
