Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to 1. describe the intrinsic and extrinsic factors as well as the collaborative treatment goals for a patient with shock; 2. identify the cause, presentation, diagnosis, and treatment for a patient experiencing cardiogenic shock; 3. identify the cause, presentation, and treatment for a patient experiencing hypovolemic shock; 4. identify the cause, presentation, and treatment for a patient experiencing anaphylactic shock; 5. identify the cause, presentation, and treatment for a patient experiencing neurogenic shock; and 6. identify the cause, presentation, and treatment for a patient experiencing septic shock.
